Week 7 Blog 1 - Chapter 7 of Surfing the Tsunami

Hello everyone! This week, I'd like to take a closer look at chapter 7 of the book Surfing the Tsunami by Todd Kelsey. This chapter discusses important figures in AI development and where to look for more information. It also has several interviews with prominent figures in the AI world as well. In this blog post, however, I would like to discuss the following person which Kelsey mentions in chapter 7, Andrew Ng.

Andrew Ng provided great contributions to the advancement and development of AI tools. A Stanford graduate, Andrew helped push the world with the MOOC revolution (Massively Open Online Courses). MOOC refers to courses that are available online for anyone to access and learn more about AI. Andrew Ng offers his contribution to MOOC with his website that he co-founded called coursera.com.

As AI gains more and more depth in both its systems and knowledgebase, it is beginning to become more and more clear that the information being processed by these systems contains sensitive information.
