Hello everyone! In this blog, I would like to discuss chapter 8 of Surfing the Tsunami by Todd Kelsey. In the final chapter, Kelsey makes a point to reiterate what the next steps in familiarizing oneself with AI can look like. He gives many recommendations of books, services, and ideas. For example, in chapter 7, Kelsey describes Andrew Ng's website Coursera.com. In this chapter, he hammers down the notion of utilizing this specific website to one's advantage. Another idea that Kelsey mentions that can help, is to learn how to code so that AI development can rest within oneself directly.
I believe this to be the best option in the grand scheme of things because AI is not going anywhere any time soon. So it is best to learn how to create and handle AI so that those skills can be used to secure positions at highly reputable and profitable companies. The more skills one has under their belt in regard to AI the more of an asset they will become for companies. In the future, I am definitely going to learn how to code so that I can get ahead in my own career.
