Week 8 Blog 2 - ChatGPT's Response to, "How Do I Learn to Code AI?"

Hello everyone! In this blog, I would like to showcase what ChatGPT has to say about the following prompt. "In a blog format, please discuss how to learn to code AI." I always find it interesting when AI describes aspects about itself. Perhaps it is because of our human nature to assign human traits to things. With AI being so relatively new, it is hard for me to imagine it being able to make such in depth commentaries about its creation. Yet here we are. I digress. The following is what ChatGPT has to say in regard to the prompt. Unleashing the Power of AI: A Guide to Coding Artificial Intelligence Embarking on the exciting journey of coding artificial intelligence (AI) opens up a world of possibilities. Whether you aspire to create intelligent chatbots, develop cutting-edge machine learning models, or explore the realm of computer vision, mastering the art of coding AI requires a dedicated approach. In this blog post, we will delve into a comprehensive guide for be...

Week 8 Blog 1 - Chapter 8 of Surfing the Tsunami

Hello everyone! In this blog, I would like to discuss chapter 8 of Surfing the Tsunami by Todd Kelsey. In the final chapter, Kelsey makes a point to reiterate what the next steps in familiarizing oneself with AI can look like. He gives many recommendations of books, services, and ideas. For example, in chapter 7, Kelsey describes Andrew Ng's website Coursera.com. In this chapter, he hammers down the notion of utilizing this specific website to one's advantage. Another idea that Kelsey mentions that can help, is to learn how to code so that AI development can rest within oneself directly.      I believe this to be the best option in the grand scheme of things because AI is not going anywhere any time soon. So it is best to learn how to create and handle AI so that those skills can be used to secure positions at highly reputable and profitable companies. The more skills one has under their belt in regard to AI the more of an asset they will become for companie...

A Stanford graduate, Andrew helped push the world with the MOOC revolution (Massively Open Online Courses). MOOC refers to courses that are available online for anyone to access and learn more about AI. Andrew Ng offers his contribution to MOOC with his website that he co-founded called coursera.com.

Week 5 Blog 1 - Chapter 5 Surfing The Tsunami - Adopting AI!

In Chapter 5 of Surfing the Tsunami by Todd Kelsey, he discusses the second approach to AI. Adopting AI means to integrate oneself in the usage and managing of AI tools and programs. Kelsey also discusses the opposing idea against AI technology. For those who still hold out on accepting it as an inevitability, he likens their choice to how the Amish interact with electricity. Coining the term "AI Amish" Kelsey discusses the similarities between those who accept and integrate themselves with AI and those who reject it.      The main point being made by bringing up the Amish in this chapter is that, yes, it is a possibility where people can completely ignore the evolutionary AI that is beginning to take root in society, however, they must do so with the idea of being behind their peers economically. The faster one can accept and adopt AI the more quickly they can get ahead of the curve and be successful.      This chapter really solidified my pe...

Week 4 Blog 1 - Adapt, Adopt, Adept - Chapter 4: Surfing the Tsunami - My Takeaway

After reading Chapter 4 of Surfing The Tsunami by Todd Kelsey, I was informed of the three different levels of responding to AI. Adapting to AI is when one becomes aware of what AI is and where it is heading. Adopting AI is when one starts to utilize AI tools and programs. Finally, being Adept to AI is when one is actively included in the process of pushing the AI boundary and creating new tech that allows it to flourish.      Recently, I have been taking a class on Digital Marketing, and at the beginning, I believe myself to have been in the Adapting category. I was aware of AI and what its capabilities were, however, I was not used to utilizing AI and its tools. As of now, however, I believe myself to be in the Adopting category because of my extensive use and research into ChatGPT and OpenAI. These tools are wonderful accessories that enables the search of the vast internet to be much faster and easier.  AI like ChatGPT and OpenAI are still in ...

Week 3 Blog 1 - Surfing The Tsunami Chapter 3!

In Chapter 3 of Surfing the Tsunami, author Todd Kelsey provides data regarding AI's improvements and the possible future of the job marketplace. He linked an article titled, Will Robots Take Our Children's Jobs?. After reading through this article, I found it to be very interesting for the following reasons.       First and foremost, the author of the article, Alex Williams, describes a multitude of professions that AI could take over in the near future. Some of these professions are what I had previously expected to be the case, however, a certain section of professions listed surprised me. The health industry has long been, at least in my mind, relatively safe from the expansion of AI. I thought this because I always assumed that people would want to be treated by other people. There is no empathy within AI's current capabilities. Perhaps that could be the major deterrent for AI expanding into the medical field, however, as Williams describes, ...

Week 2 Blog 2 - Ethical and Privacy Concerns Regarding The Advancement of AI Technology

As AI gains more and more depth in both its systems and knowledgebase, it is beginning to become more and more clear that the information being processed by these systems contains sensitive information. If this information were to be obtained through AI and used for malicious purposes, it could spell disaster amongst the general public. The masses would be afraid of AI's capabilities to search vast arrays of databases to find sensitive information. As a result, it must be said that there needs to be some regulations into what AI can and cannot do in order to prevent such a causality.      In my previous blogpost, entitled Similarities Between AI and The Internet I asked ChatGPT to list some similarities between the two. After letting the newly created chatbot to do its magic, I came across a point that resonated with the idea of regulations needed to be placed on AI technologies. I gave ChatGPT the following prompt "Go into further detail regarding Et...

Week 2 Blog 1 - Similarities Between AI and The Internet

In the not so distant past, the internet was a new technology synonymous to what AI is today. As the internet was developing and spreading its roots around the globe, it certainly did a number on the existing industries at the time. Some of the most successful businesses that are around today, have the internet to thank for much of its success. In that same note, it can be said that AI technology is in the same position as the internet once was. In order to be successful in the future, it is likely going to take a great deal of coordination with AI technologies. Utilizing this new form of technology will be a clear indicator of businesses who can adapt to new and more efficient processes quickly and can therefore be an indicator of future success.      I asked ChatGPT to generate a response to the following prompt.  What are some similarities between the internet and AI in terms of how drastically it changed the world around us. Here is a truncate...

Week 1 Blog - My response to AI like ChatGPT

Wow. A singular word was all that I could manage after my first interaction with ChatGPT. The speed at which it was able to create such an in depth blogpost regarding the circumstances of its own creation was astounding.  After creating that blogpost, I set out on reading anything and everything I could find on ChatGPT. My first stop was at an article from Harvard Business Review, titled ChatGPT Is a Tipping Point for AI by Ethan Mollick. After reading this article, I was even more intrigued by ChatGPT and its capabilities. Who could have thought, that a simple chatbot could develop into something so advanced and easy to use. Certainly not me. Now, I am at a loss of words for how wonderful systems like ChatGPT can be for the future of the world. I hope to see many applications of AI like ChatGPT to help advance human society even further.
